On the verge of the New Year holidays comes a special moment for our community. The annual Twitch Drops Event, during which everyone can receive an in-game gift, has become a good tradition, passing from year to year.
This time the New Year's events will be held from December 29, 2024 11 AM GMT / 6 AM EST to January 8, 2024 11 AM GMT / 6 AM EST. Taking part in the event is easy as always, all you need to do is follow the simple instructions.
1: Giveaways on Battlestate Games Twitch channel
Follow the announcements and watch the broadcasts on the official BSG channel at twitch.tv/battlestategames during the specified days. We have planned a series of interesting events in which all viewers will be able to win various prizes.
Broadcasts will be held every day on the official Twitch channel of Battlestate Games, don't miss it!
2: Escape from Tarkov and Twitch profiles
Drops can be claimed by users who already own a copy of the game. If you don't have your copy yet, you can purchase it here. Until January 8, 2024, the official Escape from Tarkov website is running a 25% discount on all pre-order editions. This is also the last opportunity to purchase the Edge of Darkness edition, which includes Escape from Tarkov: Arena.
In order to receive Drops or give them away on your channel, both viewers and streamers need to link their Twitch account to their game profile on the game's website. You can do this here.
Create a profile on twitch.tv if you don't have one yet.
3: Watch streams and receive Drops
The mechanics of obtaining Drops remain unchanged:
Streamers will participate in 6x12h campaigns:
2 for 12 hours on general day, Dec. 29;
2 for 12 hours on general day, January 7;
2 for 12h personal campaigns on 2 different days, the first campaign starts at 11 AM GMT / 6 AM EST, the second campaign starts at 11 PM GMT / 6 PM EST.
From December 29, 11 AM GMT / 6 AM EST until December 30, 11 AM GMT / 6 AM EST - Drops will be available for everyone.
Drops will be activated on the channels of ALL Twitch streamers who will broadcast in the Escape from Tarkov category. All streamers who wish to participate in the event during this day just need to have an active copy of the game and make sure Step 2 is completed. If you don't already have your copy, you can purchase one here.

4: Drops – in-game items
During the campaign, at certain intervals, you will be guaranteed to receive 1 in-game item: weapons, equipment, various rare items, etc. You can watch one or more broadcasts, but viewing time for rewards will only count if those broadcasts are involved in the event.
Running events like this in the past has been a great way to load-test the game and has allowed for many changes and improvements to the project. Thank you for being with us and helping to improve EFT!
